A native of the beautiful city of Savannah, Ga., Steven moved to East Tennessee in 2011 when he began serving as Director of Music Ministries at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church. He has served churches in Texas and Colorado and has experienced a variety of ministry contexts including established churches, church plants, and foreign missions. As an educator, he has served students both at the preparatory and collegiate levels.

His educational background includes degrees in church music from Johnson University (Knoxville, TN) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Fort Worth, TX). Just before moving to Tennessee, Steven completed doctoral course work at the University of Northern Colorado where he studied choral conducting.

He is married to Kathy, who enjoys teaching English as a second language and volunteering in music ministry.
